The Siberian Cat
Daphne, Liam, and Sophie are great examples of the Siberian breed. They are friendly, gentle, and wonderful with children. They are intelligent, and will problem-solve to get to a favorite toy or treat. They are playful and athletic; our "acro-cats" - they fly through the air with the greatest of ease! Their fur is long and silky-soft. They greet us with the unique trilling Siberian meow, and follow us around the house, eager to participate in all activities - cleaning, laundry, board games, reading, feeding the fish... It does not take long to fall head over paws for a Siberian cat!!
Some Siberian cats are hypoallergenic, with a lower level of the fel d1 protein that causes most cat allergies. Skye Blue Siberians chose their foundation cats from low-allergen lines. We test our cats for their allergen level, in an effort to produce low-allergen kittens. Many cat allergy sufferers have lesser or no allergic reactions to hypoallergenic Siberians. Hypoallergenic means a reduced level of allergens, not completely allergen-free. ***Individual reactions vary, if you have severe allergies please consult your doctor prior to purchase***.
